In this small town in Liguria, nestled in its hills, Pieve di Teco carries the weight of its history. Old buildings sit empty, some crumble, but never quite disappear, A neighbouring building, opposite a terrace where I sit holds a fascination for me. A relatively new construction from maybe the 1930s, added atop an ancient 16th century building below, heading ever skywards over the centuries. Now sitting empty, hidden from the beautiful arcades and bustling street below, its only tenants are its bats who venture out each night at dusk.
