Cyanotype is the earliest form of photography dating from 1842 and creates a dynamic silhouetted image. I utilise this printing technique is a more experimental form, using it in conjunction with droplets of water and ink, which makes every print unique. I have kept a lot of the background 'noise' and splashes of Cyanotype chemicals as it brings movement and depth to the image.
The iconic Queen Elizabeth silhouette was created by Arnold Machin in 1965 and has been used as inspiration to create this cyanotype in the year of Her platinum Jubilee. Painted and then the flowers layered to produce a new rendition of this renown image. It is on 350 gsm acid free water colour paper with Cyanotype chemicals and inks. The print is signed and year dated on the front. You will note I have provided a room setting image, which is as close to scale as possible but not actual scale. If you have any questions about this print or my work in general, please do get in touch via the 'Contact link' and I will be happy to answer.
The print will be sent backed with card and in a cellophane wrap. UK delivery will be by Royal Mail 1st Class signed for. International items are sent Royal Mail Tracked.
