Limerence is a relatively new term to me, discovered recently through social media. It describes an intense, obsessive crush on someone unattainable - a romantic fixation that exists purely in one's imagination. A state of unrequited love we've likely all experienced at some point.

Reading gothic literature like Wuthering Heights influenced this piece, continuing the emotional exploration begun in my recent drawing "Thinking About You Fondly". This artwork represents a subtle shift from my folkloric work, delving instead into the raw emotional landscapes of despondency, loss, and those unavoidable human truths

One of the figures is caught in a limerent state - I invite viewers to interpret which one, and to imagine the story beyond this captured moment.
