Fields of connection

Fields of Connection explores the quiet ways in which our lives intersect, influence one another and leave traces, even when our paths remain separate.

Dark, fluid lines move across a softly luminous surface, approaching, overlapping and drifting apart. Their movement recalls landscapes shaped by water and wind, while suggesting the subtle exchanges that shape human relationships.

I combined natural sand and mineral pigments to create a finely textured surface that responds to changing light. As the viewer moves, certain details emerge while others recede, giving the painting a sense of quiet transformation. The circular format reinforces this feeling of continuity, with no fixed beginning or end. Intimate in scale yet rich in detail, the work invites close observation and a personal interpretation of the connections it evokes.
