This is a process-driven painting, where I was interested in the materials and the making as much as the outcome. It's loosely based on some photos I took of a woodland stream while on a cycle ride to Richmond. I was drawn by the density and profusion of greens and the reflections in the water. The image of the secluded woodland stream presented an amorphous pattern of colours and textures, and I enjoyed the ambiguity of semi-abstraction.
