Majorelle blue is well known, but blue is also apparent in the paint work around the city of Essaouira and in the intense Moroccan sky, softer shades of blues of course in the mornings and evenings. Morocco is a feast for the eyes and perhaps the souks in Marrakech are the most over-whelming with all the different smells, sounds and sites. It was important for me to create artwork with plenty to engage with so I have created a composite image to mirror my experience and reflect on my trip to Morocco.
