ICES, by Richard Heeps, photographed at the British Seaside at the end of summer 2020. This artwork is about evoking memories of the simple joy of days by the beach. The red raspberry colour blocking, typography and the surreal twist of the suspended ice cream cone, cross many of Richard’s artistic signatures.
Richard runs his own colour darkroom in Cambridge printing his photographs from negative and chose to frame this image with the Kodak film rebate.
This artwork is a limited edition of 25, gloss photographic print, dry-mounted to aluminium, it is presented in a museum board white window mount and a choice of black or white box frame fitted with anti-reflective UV70% glass. It is signed and numbered on reverse and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.Handmade to order, please allow additional time.
Richard Heeps’ seductive, highly saturated colours and sophisticated pictorial structures demonstrate a true love and empathy for his subject matter – be it cool, descriptive interiors, still life, portrait or landscape. His distinctive style pushes the limits of photography. He runs his own colour darkroom in Cambridge (UK) where he hand prints his colour photography. His work has been exhibited in Museums and Public Galleries around England, and he has participated in Art Fairs around the world, and his work is now part of many international collections.
