Released

Released captures a moment of emotional release, a sense of light breaking through after something long held has finally began to let go.

Deep blues, rich reds and areas of darkness surround an intensely luminous centre, creating a tension between weight and freedom, shadow and light. Built intuitively through layers of oil, colour and texture, the painting has an atmospheric quality that seems to shift depending on the light and the viewer's perspective.

There is a sense of movement within the work, as though something is opening, lifting or breaking free. Yet the painting deliberately leaves its meaning unresolved, allowing the viewer to bring their own experiences of change, release and renewal to it. Signed certificate included. Supplied stretched and framed, carefully packaged for delivery.
