Palm Springs Winter Afternoon Storm

This painting was born from the inspiration of a rare stormy day in Palm Springs in January 2024. Magnificent mountain ranges form the backdrop to the entire Coachella Valley. Stepping out of a friend's house, I was captivated by a particular angle that revealed a particularly wide vista of numerous hills. The sky was ablaze with reds, pinks, and browns, as the sand whipped up by the incoming storm created a mesmerizing display. The sun, on its journey towards nighttime, was partially hidden by the encroaching rainclouds. While the scene could have appeared ominous, in reality, the distant rainfall was nourishing the arid landscape.

The prints are A3 sized [297mm x 420mm], printed on heavyweight 300gsm recycled board. Each print is stamped, signed, with a A4 sheet describing the background to the artwork. They are cellophane-wrapped with a secure board backing to minimize any travel damage. The original painting was photographed in my London Studio.
