Available as A3 or A2 print Printed on 300gsm archival quality paper.
The piece was created in the summer of 2020 after harsh 6 months and a wave of social media awareness towards Black lives and the injustices we face. Many of us come from other lands our heritage is a beautiful, complex and colourful palette and I wanted to convey a moment of hope or acknowledgment to my fellow kin that we are changing the tide of things (although it is not our responsibility to do so) The collective power means that the winds are changing albeit slowly.
It's a piece based on a known but unnamed figure in a land that is far away but also on our doorstep. Wrapped in a textile blanket that holds comfort and warmth. Sometimes the most powerful images are the ones in which we stand firm and show our beauty (especially in the face of injustice).
