The King's Game by contemporary artist Iirumva Isaac of Rwanda immediately transports the viewer to a story in progress with compelling interactions. You can almost hear the conversations taking place, with bright colours, told through a look or the placement of Isaac’s stylized characters. But peer closely and there is more ambiguity and layers to unwrap to understand what is really going on.

Born in 1998, Isaac was a finalist in the 2022 pan-African Emerging Painting Invitational and lives and work in Kigali, Rwanda.

This work is available in limited edition prints (series of 8) on in A3 or A2 sizes. This piece is handled by Andrea Lowe, trusted collaborator of SOTA and UK representative of Iirumva.
