‘Reminiscence’ a historical study of Royal Holloway University, layered chronologically from 1886 to 2015. The architecture of the majestic structure is based on a French chateau. I lived in this building during the first year of my degree and in 2015 I was given access to photograph the archives, which date back to 1886, as well as permission to photograph the building and grounds. The images were layered in chronological order in Photoshop, starting with the earliest photographs from 1886 to the present day. The final piece hints at the passage of time; the edges of the different layers are left visible to create the feeling of a fading memory.
