This piece is based upon the concept that it is impossible to remain impervious to external influences and that the spark of many creative ideas originate from a range of stimuli, both conscious and subconscious. I explored this premise in a series of experimental self-portraits with the photographic works of Éric Antoine, Trent Parke and Idris Khan and the resulting work that had been influenced by these artists, projected onto my face.
