'Rolling Stones Dressing Room 15'- Unseen Rolling Stones Photography by Gus Coral. Original photography shot in 1963.
30 x 40cm photographic print of Brian Jones and Bill Wyman on hahnemule paper, mounted with a triple thickness mount, UV glazing and finished with a stained black ash frame, 1/1 signed by Gus. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
In the autumn of 1963, Brian Jones, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Bill Wyman, and Charlie Watts, collectively known as The Rolling Stones, embarked on their first tour supporting The Everly Brothers, Bo Diddley, and Little Richard. This tour, organized and promoted by Don Arden, was crucial in propelling the band towards becoming one of the world's most successful musical acts. By the end of the 30-date tour, The Rolling Stones' first single, “Come On,” had reached number 21 on the UK chart. There are still very few photographs from this early period of The Rolling Stones.
Gus Coral, now 86, took a risk by capturing over 150 photographs of The Rolling Stones during their 1963 tour and studio sessions before they were famous. SOTA are delighted to collaborate with Gus to release never-before-seen photographs of the band which are some of the rarest and earliest of The Stones to exist.
