Painted in 2024, this self portrait is one of the first examples of Jones introducing transcription directly into her process, taking inspiration from Hopper's Western Motel (1957), and is a great example of her use of Black 4.0 in depicting the void space present throughout her oeuvre and cyphers such as a phone.
This painting is oil and acrylic on board.
Dimensions:
91 x 61 cms or 24 x 36 inches, unframed.
