Where the forest meets the water, Edge of Stillness captures that fleeting moment when a landscape seems to disappear into mist. The trees soften into the distance while the rocky shoreline holds firm against the gentle movement of the sea — a meeting place between wildness and calm.

This original reduction linocut is hand-carved and hand-printed, building layers of soft misty greys, muted blue-greens, charcoal and touches of fresh green. I wanted the distant trees to almost dissolve into the atmosphere, contrasting with the stronger shapes and textures of the rocks in the foreground.
