Living near the estuary in Essex, the county with the largest coastline in England, there are many opportunities to see the atmospheric changes that happen here. This recollection of light drawing the eye along the flat watery land, like slivers of mirror, was created after a happy walk in nature. Geometric shapes contrast with the natural forms, heightening the colour contrasts.
