Some appear to converge, while others resist or change direction, suggesting currents that continually negotiate their way around one another. I worked with acrylic and natural sand to build a surface where delicate transitions meet denser, textured passages. Water changes the stone it touches, just as the stone redirects the water. There is something profoundly human in this reciprocity. For me, Held in the Same Current reflects the ways our identities evolve through connection.
