Cyanotype is the earliest form of photography dating from 1842 and creates a dynamic silhouetted image. I utilise this printing technique in a more experimental form, using it in conjunction with droplets of water and ink, which makes every print unique. I have kept a lot of the background 'noise' and splashes of Cyanotype chemicals as it brings movement and depth to the image.
This double exposure image uses plants from my garden. The strong yet delicate fauna is captured with all its intricacies through this beautiful medium. This is on 200 gsm acid free paper with Cyanotype chemicals and inks. The print is signed and year dated on the front. If you have any questions about this print or my work in general, please do get in touch via the 'Contact link' and I will be happy to answer.
