Observatory Reflections

Captured at the historic Observatory Science Centre in Sussex, this photograph celebrates the striking midcentury architecture of the site. The image focuses on the weathered patina of the copper dome, contrasting against the overcast sky and mirrored precisely in the lily pond below. This view captures the unexpected retro-futuristic atmosphere of the location, feeling like a scene from classic science fiction. This analogue photograph was shot on a Pentax ME Super using expired Kodak Vision2 50D film, resulting in a unique colour palette and subtle grain.

Each print is printed on German Etching 100% Cotton 310 GSM paper, which is acid-free and archival standard. The print is available in several sizes and framing options.

The print is sold unframed; however, framing options are also available so your print arrives ready to hang, but please keep in mind that at least an extra 14 working days will be added to the order so the print can be framed professionally. I usually frame the pieces in an off white wooden frame on a floating mount in a in a box frame with Art Glass as standard to ensure the longevity of the print.
