Between large-scale projects, or whenever space is limited, I turn to these small-format works. They allow me to explore details and test ideas, often revealing the direction of a new body of work. I see them as landscapes—some more abstract than others—or as fields or patterns found in nature. Because each viewer discovers something different in them, I have chosen to leave them untitled. They are numbered for archival purposes and signed on the reverse.
The frames are constructed from reclaimed scrap wood collected from the discarded materials of the workshops where I worked. In some pieces, machine marks remain visible on the reverse, preserving traces of the material's former life. Some frames are stained (as noted), while all are finished with furniture wax.
