Silence of a Star #2 emerged from my fascination with those moments in nature when familiar boundaries seem to disappear. Mountains dissolve into mist, water reflects the sky, and it becomes difficult to tell where one element ends and another begins. Across the circular canvas, soft formations rise and recede like distant ridges, gentle waves or clouds drifting through a valley. I wanted the landscape to remain uncertain, somewhere between solidity and dissolution, as though it were still finding its shape.
I worked with acrylic and natural sand, building delicate transitions of green-grey and muted mineral tones. The surface holds subtle variations in texture, allowing light to reveal details that might initially go unnoticed. From different angles, certain forms become more distinct while others seem to fade.
What interests me is how these quiet transformations can change our perception of a place. Nothing dramatic needs to happen; a shift in light or atmosphere can make an entirely familiar landscape feel different. For me, the circular format reinforces this sense of continuity, offering no fixed horizon or privileged direction. Silence of a Star #2 is an invitation to spend time with what is barely perceptible, and to discover movement within apparent stillness.
