Ink ~ Hawthorn Printmakers linseed/safflower oil-basedTechnique ~ Reduction prints are created by the repeated carving, inking & printing of a single linoleum block. This process results in the destruction of the block. Craig Goch is the top dam in the series in the beautiful Elan Valley. The dams were created around 1900 to supply water to Birmingham via a 75 mile-long aqueduct. This print is based on a photograph taken whilst the dam was overtopping after a period of heavy rain.
