'Conversation with My Dog'

More information on "Conversation With My Dog' - I had no preconceived idea as to how this painting would turn out. I failed to plan, but was led instead with my comfort colour of purple as a base layer and waited to see what came on top. Putting myself at ease in my comfort zone of colours and sound, and relaxing into the painting.

It might have helped that I was about to go on a long awaited holiday, so I was excited and full of anticipation.

What can you see? 

I like to think it’s someone communicating with their dog. They could be training, working, or just out for a walk. There’s definitely energy between them, as to whether the dog is being praised or chastised, I’m not sure … that’s up to you.  As for me, I’m pretty sure I’m telling my dog to be good while we’re away... well, that's the one-way conversation that lasted the duration of our time together in the studio.

Painted using Artist Grade acrylics on a deep edged canvas measuring 18” x 24”. Sold in a black floating frame and comes with a certificate of authenticity. This painting is signed on both sides. The painting will be sent wrapped in glassine paper to protect the front, corner protectors held on by cling wrap, encased in bubble wrap and packaged carefully in double-walled cardboard.
