"Paco High Street Green" is an oil pastel I made during my last days in London, portraying my boyfriend looking outside the window overlooking Stoke Newington High Street. I loved that area and the fact that I could literally see the world just sitting at my desk by the window. This artwork is almost a pendant to the many more I've done of people on the curb at the opposite side of the street. I like to celebrate the mundane and the beauty that surrounds us every day and London was perfect in that regard. I see these artworks as my ongoing (I keep making new ones from all the photos that I took while living there and on the following trips that i make almost once a year) love letter to the city. I hope this oil pastel will transport you too to a quiet living room in a city vibrant with life.
Signed with my initials on the front and full signature at the back.
Fixed with 3 layers of fixative spray.
