Blue No. 1 - Below The Waterline

One of only five 'Artist's Proofs' printed on Hahnemuhle Torchon, a beautifully textured fine art paper. Mounted in a 60x80cm archival mount. Signed, titled and numbered.

'Below The Waterline' is a series of abstract photographic images shot throughout the UK and further afield.

All are shot in coastal locations using elements within the manmade landscape, to provide an impressionistic view of the landscape. The images are minimalist and linear. There are strong coastal themes featuring shoreline, seascapes and horizons. Aspects of Rothko's work was very much in mind when I set out to produce this series.

'Below The Waterline' is about using art and photography as a means to being more mindful, getting out and about, de-stressing and staying afloat.

I hope the images will provide someone with a similar sense of calm and enjoyment I took in creating them.
