I am part of an Anglo French artist group called Dialogue, this painting was created by me for an exhibition we curated called 'Deraciner'. I love having a garden and often when digging the earth I find objects which have been thrown away long ago. The objects are usually pieces of rusty metal, ceramic fragments and glass. This painting of a Peach tree relates to the site where some objects were found and the vertical lines within the painting allude to the position of the found objects. Vertical and horizontal lines occasionally feature in my paintings and refer to something secret or hidden, a type of personal and contemporary ley line.

N.B. Peach Tree is a small work and probably does not require removal from its stretcher for postage.
