Drawing on themes of Mortality, Mental Health and the sudden passing of my father, this study was painted in response. Red Hue background contrasts against the blue of the figure as the artist plays with colour. The figure is in a sombre pose, reflecting, remembering in the throws of initial grief.

The artist has used short brushstrokes to build painterly abstraction of the figure and skull.
