A 30x30cm impressionist acrylic painting of a familiar fruit. It is the result of initially sketching the common fruit inspired by its delightful bulbous shape and colours within colours. Finally, it was worked from a painter’s viewpoint using the impressions received from previous study of it. A palette knife was used which allows less control and can result in surprising but welcome results.
The gesso board is a deep one which can be hung straight away, and is signed/dated on the reverse.
