8/9 of ‘FARM FORAGINGS’: A series of original botanical cyanotype prints.
Light sensitive solution on A4 artists watercolour paper.
Unframed, with artist certificate of authenticity.
To me, the cyanotype process feels like the most natural way of creating art. Using a solution mix, and placing natural elements like grass and wild flowers on the paper, then watching the sun help bring a piece of art to life is truly magnificent.
This series was inspired by my family’s farm in Zimbabwe – my sanctuary. When I spend time there I am reminded of the importance of spending time with nature and slowing down. Feeling the sun on my skin, listening carefully to the rain and taking note of the gentle breeze.
