This work is from Tilly’s new ‘KILL YOUR DARLINGS’ collection (live from June 21 to September). It features an intimate domestic scene depicting red roses and a pink dahlia, in vases on a table. There is a window in the background and striped wallpaper. Tilly intended it to feel nostalgic, comforting and faintly claustrophobic. Like a visit to an older, overfamiliar but kind friend of the family’s as a child. Purple text is written over the top of the initial scene. This reads: ‘YOU THINK IM JOKING IM NOT JOKING’.

This painting - along with all works in ‘KILL YOUR DARLINGS’ - will cease to be available on September 21, 2025. The collection is available for three months only. Any remaining works will be destroyed, donated or gifted following this period.
