Essaouira, Morocco

A digital image inspired by the ornament and pattern in the seaside city of Essaouira. Much of the city is painted blue, the streets are narrow and there are architectural details to be seen everywhere. I have used a multiple exposure technique to add patterns from Moroccan tiles to be digitally blended in to the shop awnings . Similarly I have used Berber patterns and motifs seen on the  handmade rugs for sale all over Essaouira to add on to the glass of the street lamps. There is so much to see and absorb when spending time in these culturally rich and decorative Moroccan cities.

Unframed. Signed, and numbered, limited edition of 10. Shipped in cardboard tube, wrapped in tissue.
