This original painting is part of Sun Kissed series.
In muted green, the form unfolds through subtle movements of growth, holding a sense of balance. The image suggests belonging not as a fixed state, but as a feeling that emerges gradually, from within.

Sun Kissed was developed during a winter marked by inner scarcity, revealing fragility and absence.
Across six original ink paintings, orchids native to Brazil emerge against white backgrounds, their forms shaped through gradients of shadow and clarity. Sensitive yet resilient, they echo a condition of belonging: flourishing in warmth and openness, and faltering where what sustains them is absent.
Rendered in vivid monochromes, these works became both a remembrance of sunlit days and a quiet testimony of endurance.
Looking back, Sun Kissed stands as a threshold in Anni Blooms’ practice. A transition from the longing for brightness toward a deeper exploration of what grows from darkness. These orchid portraits opened a path toward questions of identity, self-preservation, and belonging, and toward the understanding that blooming is not tied to place alone, but to the light carried within.
