This work is from Tilly’s new ‘KILL YOUR DARLINGS’ collection (live from June 21 to September). It features an intimate domestic scene from 2023. Tilly painted the still life/landscape from life, sitting at the backdoor of her former London home, looking out into the garden. The image depicts a garden in high summer, with leaves, flowers and a tomato plant in full bloom. There is a metal bistro table with two chairs. Blue text is written over the top of the initial scene. This reads: 'IT IS A MISTAKE TO ASSUME ANYTHING WILL WAIT FOR YOU'. It was added in June 2025. Painted in soothing greens and blues.
This painting - along with all works in ‘KILL YOUR DARLINGS’ - will cease to be available after September 21, 2025. The collection is available for three months only. Any remaining works will be destroyed, donated, gifted or retained for Tilly's personal permanent collection following this period. It will not be for sale again.
