This abstract painting is inspired by a photograph I took of the arches at Wazir Khan Mosque, with their rich red brickwork and deep shadows. The image showed a doorway beneath the arch, with a bike parked outside. I used that photograph as a starting point, focusing on the shapes, light, and contrast. The painting hints at the archway, the steps leading up to it and the shadows beneath it, simplifying the scene into abstract forms and tones that capture its atmosphere and depth.
